Data we collect
We collect only what is needed to answer you and to run the service you asked for:
- Bookings and enquiries: full name, email, mobile number and country code, hotel or riad name, optional room number, tour or transfer date, number of guests, airport, flight number, pick-up point and time, and any message you write.
- Payments: deposit or balance notes you send us. Full card numbers are not stored on this website.
- Reviews: email address, ratings and the comment you publish.
- Technical data: IP address (also stored with a reservation), browser type, pages viewed, language, shopping-cart session and server logs.
How we use data and legal bases
- Confirm, change or cancel a reservation (performance of a contract)
- Arrange hotel pick-up, private vehicles, licensed guides and desert camps (contract)
- Reply by email, telephone or WhatsApp (contract or legitimate interest in answering you)
- Issue invoices and meet Moroccan accounting and tax rules (legal obligation)
- Measure traffic with Google Analytics only after you accept cookies (consent)
- Send messages about your booking; marketing only if you have asked for it (consent)
Sharing
Details are shared only with people who need them to operate your trip: licensed local drivers, city or mountain guides, and partner camps or riads. If you write to our published WhatsApp number, the conversation is also processed by WhatsApp. Google receives analytics data (measurement ID G-CPSVPZ0D8W) only if you have accepted optional cookies. We do not sell personal data. We may disclose information if Moroccan authorities lawfully require it.
Cookies
The banner at the bottom of the site lets you Accept or Reject optional cookies with equal ease, as required by the GDPR and the French CNIL. Closing the banner without a choice, or clicking Reject, means we do not load Google Analytics. Your choice is stored for 6 months (cookie dtm_cookie_consent). You can change it via “Cookie settings” in the footer. A complaint may be lodged with the CNIL (cnil.fr) and, in Morocco, with the CNDP.
- Essential — PHPSESSID: shopping cart and booking form. Session cookie, no consent required.
- Essential — dtm_cookie_consent: stores Accept or Reject for 6 months.
- Essential — popup: remembers that a site notice was closed (1 day).
- Optional — Google Analytics 4 (G-CPSVPZ0D8W), cookies _ga and _ga_*: pages viewed, approximate location and device, IP anonymised, advertising signals off. Set only after Accept. Processed by Google Ireland / Google LLC (USA). Refusing does not block a booking.
- Optional — Google Maps: the contact-page map is not loaded until you Accept cookies or click “Load map”. That action may set Google cookies and is stored 6 months as
dtm_maps_consent.
We do not load Google Fonts. The site uses fonts already installed on your device.
Retention and security
Booking records are kept for as long as needed to run the trip and to satisfy Moroccan legal retention, then deleted or anonymised. Cookie-choice records last 6 months. Access is limited to the agency team. The site is served over HTTPS.
Your rights
You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or (for EU/UK guests) data portability at info@dailytoursmarrakech.com or by post at the address above. You may withdraw cookie consent at any time without affecting bookings already made.
You may lodge a complaint with the Moroccan CNDP at cndp.ma. Guests in the EU may also contact their national authority; in France this is the CNIL at cnil.fr.
